Complaint / review text:
Before my next required payment due date, I changed the information on my account to reflect my new bank account as my old account only held $6. I called the next day and confirmed with their representative that the current payment would be coming from my new account. They confirmed the information. Told me my payment would come from the new account I entered. They however neglected to tell me that the payment for that month was already pending from my old account. I checked my old account a few days later to find my account negative over $300!!! I looked at my new account and Ally had taken the payment from that account as well!!! So not only did they take a payment from an account that was not valid, they took double payment for the month and put me in the hole with my old bank adding late charges, etc.
I tried to call the Ally and discuss the situation and all they can say is basically I can request a refund from them which will take 10 days or I can dispute the payment with my bank. Either way, they will not refund the late charges my bank charged me. I've been auto paying for over a year and Ally couldn't even cough up $26 to help me out of this situation. I was very satisfied with them until this happened and now I am very dissatisfied. I will be refinancing soon to get away from every having to deal with this company again! It's a disgrace with all the money you have you couldn't accept your mess up and pay $26 to work it out. 26!!!
