On the 24th of January Saturday at around 11:50 I found myself in a queue at an FNB branch in christiana and even though the queue was moving at a snail pace I proceeded until I was assisted with my transaction. Let me detail the occurrence that necessitated this complaint, while in the queue there was a white guy who was at the back of the queue and Susan who happens to be the consultant there was busy with a client and upon finishing with that client she opted to serve the white guy... The very same one who was at the back of the queue. She said something to the effect of "kan ek jou help met die deposit"'. I may not quote her verbatim but my observation was disturbing in that we were not even sure if the gentleman was there before or he just got taken off the queue because he is of a certain colour. The possibility exists... Let me not reduce it to a race issue as that could amount to mischaracterization. While on Susan, the guy that assisted me was also rude, he processed the deposit without confirming the details, does not smile, keeps a straight face like a security guard at some diamond ring shop... He only confirmed the amount after capturing... How pathetic. Stop it
