I went to ABSA for the first time in years today. It was packed. Only 2 teller serving customers. After an hour I get to the teller. I asked why only 2 tellers was working on a month end Saturday. She said if I have a complaint I must speak to the manager. Left it there. I give her the money to deposit and the account number. Then I was handed the deposit slip to sign. She never asked for a reverence, just put in a number. When I said to her my name was suppose to be the reference she said I never told her!!! Now how on earth was I suppose to know to give it before it is asked? I politely waited for her to ask instead of giving at the start when I knew that it should be asked when they reach that part of the transaction. When I asked her why she didn't ask she said I came with attitude and that is my responsibility to give it to her. Every bank I have ever been to have asked me! She was so rude and after she gave me that attitude I was rude right back! What ever happened to give good friendly service? I am so glad that I bank with FNB. Never ever have I been treated so poorly there or any other bank for that matter. I am truly disgusted in the service at ABSA Kriel.
