Complaint / review text:
In late November I got a 2014 Kia Soul form CarMax and was financed through Westlake. My car payment was to be 481 a month and the first payment was due on the the 10 of January. When I got the car I set up my payments to be taken out of my bank account each month. On March 22 I had my car repoed for late payments. I called Westlake on Monday and it took 27 phone calls to finally talk to someone about my car. One person told me that they have no record of me and have no idea why I was calling them. Another person said that my account was for a 2001 Infiniti so they can't even get the right car. After being hung up on the next ten time I talked to the rudest person I have ever spoke to in my life. He informed me that they have no record of my bank account and they have never received a payment. I then asked to speak to a manager and was hung up on.
The next day I called again and spoke to the same man as before. I told him that I have a reference number from the payment they received for my car. He even verified the confirmation number in their system then asked for my bank stubs for my bank info which they already had at the time. I asked if the confirmation number was confirmed in your system then why do you need the bank stubs. They told me that they had no record of my bank. I then asked to please speak with a manager and was hung up on. I called back and finally asked how to get my car back to get to work. I was told I needed to pay the sum of 1741.26 and they would release my car from repo. After hearing this I was really pissed off and informed them I would be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. They laughed at me and said, "Go right ahead" and hung up.
