This company is a total mafia. We paid our credit card off IN FULL and closed the account after having it for only 2 months!
We opened it in December and paid it off IN FULL in early February with an amount around $1,000.00.in fact, we never even received our cards and they expected us to go and track them down in our building because they put our address in their system incorrectly and sent them to the wrong address! Then, after paying our first monthly bill, we paid it off IN FULL over the phone and we requested we wanted to close the account because we are constantly traveling and not home to use it anyway and she confirmed several times that it was closed per our request. Then, out of the blue we started receiving harassing phone calls this past week from their collections department claiming we owed over $60.00 in interest fees and there were late charges associated with this, which is pure BS.
After I asked how this could possibly happen because we paid it off in full because the rep confirmed it was closed over the phone (BTW, I'm sure they recorded it)... She had the nerve to regurgitate rehearsed corporate bs to justify why this happened with some pay cycle defense which she kept twisting and turning the words around and it made absolutely no sense. This is the way they treat good paying clients and who paid their card off in FULL! Do the math...
If this company pulls this on even one person per household, they are not only cashing out and robbing people, but they are scamming and it should absolutely be considered FRAUD. This isn't about $60.00 interest or whatever they justify it's for. It's the PRINCIPLE that they can get away with this as it should be considered FRAUD.
Additionally, this company is SO OUTRAGEOUSLY OLD SCHOOL that they waste a tree of paper to send out statements, instead of the option of emailing them. People should absolutely unite and file suit against such blatantly manipulative and cheating corporations.
