I was on the interest rate reduction for the past 2 years and made payments to on account every month. Sallie Mae changed the name to Navient and they are the worst to deal with. It was a big mistake to have Navient take over my loans. They do not want to understand your budget and what you can afford. The interest rate from 1% up to 5%. The payment is too high for what I earn, and only one person working in the house. I want to make payments but I need to live. I have to pay for my living expenses over student loan payment. The customer advocate depart. Does not do anything but listen to what you are saying. I do not where else to get help? I recommend to anyone to run the other way when Sallie Me or Navient is mentioned.
