I recently contacted ACS to receive information on how and where to submit my IBR as well as request a forbearance while my IBR is being processed. The customer service representative tells me that my account has been "sold" to Nelnet, and provides me with the number and hangs up. I contact Nelnet, only to find out they do not have my account. Nelnet rep informs me that ACS is going out of business and most accounts will be transferred to them at some point.
I call ACS back to see if I can obtain additional information. This time I am told they still have my account and that what I am telling them about my account being transferred is incorrect. After wasting over an hour of my time, I finally get the information that I need. EVERY TIME I have called ACS in the past the information received is incorrect or they do not want to give me all the necessary details of my account; it is such a hassle and time consuming when I call them. If I could rate ACS with a ZERO I definitely would!
