I have been using their automatic payment system (ACH Checkmate II) for five years and recently changed the bank information for where the money is taken from. I changed the bank information 3 days before my next payment was due and received an automated confirmation email from them. I then noticed my old bank account showed negative $100 in checking due to 4x $25 NSF fees (I have 4 accounts with ACS). Two later the same thing happened causing my account to reach (-$200). I went through their processes, sent about a dozen emails and phone calls with them trying to get them to reimburse me the $200 but they wouldn't budge.
When you select to "Manage Your ACH Checkmate II" there is no information stating that there is a lag in processing time for making changes to your account. Even the confirmation email doesn't say anything about there being processing time, even when you have additional bank profiles already synced up with them. Well apparently ANY changes take 3 full business days and ACS wouldn't work with me no matter what I sent, said or did. They are clearly in the wrong, and you can tell by how defensive they are on the phone that they know it, but they wouldn't budge. I had to pay $200 to correct their mistake.
