Complaint / review text:
I started a loan modification about 3-09 and it ended on 12-09, with unfavorable results. Like the others stories I have read, I do believe that Chase has no intentions of helping any of the homeowners that they are carrying notes on. I was told several time that I was missing needed paperwork. I sent all paperwork on time and even when asked for additional items that they said needed to be updated. At least 3 times, they asked for a form that would let them access my tax returns. I complied, every single time. They gave me a proposal, which I signed, it was their proposal to me. I accepted it and I had to make 3 trial payments at them, my modification would become effective and permanent. I made 7 payments.
Chase called me and said my modification was with the underwriter and every thing was fine, this was around Dec. 16,2009. Then on Jan, 4,2010, I received a letter dated 12-11-2009 saying that my modification had been denied, and there was nothing else that could be done. Chase said I had insufficient income.
