Complaint / review text:
I have been paying premiums to Banker's Life for over 10 years, but when I submitted my first claim (March 2010) for light houskeeping services, it was denied.
I furnished letters from family doctors indicating that my wife and I suffered from Alzheimers and rhemutoid arthritis, and that we had functional disabilities that prevented us from these tasks. Banker's Life said that there was no indication that these disabilities would last for more than 90 days (just how long do they think that uncureable lasts).
It is my oppinion that Banker's Life intends to "log roll" denials until, through utter frustation, I give up and cancel my policy and pay for the housekeeping services with the former premium payments. This way I will have lost any build up from the 10 years, and any chance for future claims if my wife and I "retreat" to a nursing or assisted living home. Maybe Banker's Life hopes that we will just go away quietly and die.
I believe that Banker's Life are successors to the Jesse James gang of the late 1800s.
