Last month, I made an online payment from my Chase account to Allstate (Car Insurance) and it showed that the payment was made, with a conformation number, etc. 3 weeks later, my insurance company send me a letter of a cancellation because they received the payment 14 days late when according to Chase it was made on time. I just changed insurance company a moved on thinking that Allstate had make a mistake.
Well, last Friday I made a payment from my checking account to a Credit Card from the same bank (Chase), I made the payment the 10th, it was due the 13th, the system showed that the payment was made on time with a confirmation number. Today I found out that I have a late fee charge from the Chase Credit card because they didn't received the payment on time, talking about the same bank, the money was taken from my checking account, showed confirmation and paid, and the same bank charged me with a late fee charge? Good thing that I check my account online every day, but what happening to people that doesn't pay attention to all those transaction? Really bad.
