Complaint / review text:
I set up my first online payment to Merrick Bank. I received a confirmation number and an email stating my payment was received.
Four days later I received an email stating that there was an error and I needed to make another payment. I went back on line and made another payment. I received another confirmation number and email stating my payment had been received. Merrick Bank charged me a fee because they said there was an error when submitting the first payment.
They would not waive the fee and could not tell me what the actual error was. I contacted my bank to find out if there was any errors or account fees from Merrick Bank. My bank informed me that there was a payment posted to Merrick Bank and no fees at all.
I called Merrick Bank once again, and was told that the fee could not be waived because "it just couldn't". I'm very frustrated!
