The same as the rest of these stories. Its pretty sad that a company can take your money and tell you your state id is fraudulent.
I bought a money pack and i walked 5 blocks home actually my friends apt, to my dismay upon contacting green dot to load funds said they were already loaded on a card. I explained to the rep that i walked 5 blocks and no one seen my reload card or buy the card and that's impossible, if some one did load my card on a different one the person had to be from green dot who over sees or processes the transaction to the card. She told me to write to some address and if i didn't with in 30 days i couldn't claim the loss, which i did and got the usual we'll get back to you we have to wait from some one to review your claim and so on. Fine at this point i told the rep a few choice words for her help and that there process is going to over the allotted days to make a claim i sent the faxes i even offered to send my actual fl state id.
Then faxed over 20 times again fl state id along with a color copy of the actual reload card, the recite, and she said someone would get back to me again. I waited one day and called back they claim they didn't get a fax and then the case worker wasn't in. Mind you i asked to speak to a supervisor and not once did i get one. Weeks of fighting with them to look at what was faxed and to return my money. The supervisor who apparently was out all month on the account of i had called every two days for the last 30 days which i let her know.
The 30th day which happen to be the last day to claim my loss. This supervisor informs me that i cant make a claim because i dint do it with in the 30 days. I said excuse me apparently you don't work but once a month for a reason. I explained again that i have but the reps that i have been talking to had not helped and that check my faxes and info i sent all well within the 30 days its your process that takes over 30 days, so how could anyone make a claim.
She said it dose not it takes a week or so and put me on hold at this point i became what you would call an irate customer and at this point she hung up on me. I gathered my self called back apologized for my choice words but it angers me your the supervisor and you should at least have some consideration for my loss at the very least pretend but she did no suck thing she again put me on hold and said she would review my file her self and get back to me, needles to say i called back after on the 3rd day i got a hold of her again and at which time she informs me that i didn't make the claim in time and then after two more days and her further review she tells me your state id is fraudulent. And she cant help me to call the police to recover the money. So i lost 400 dollars.
How was i going to fly across the us to call police about my 400 dollars and if i could i wouldnt be calling the police id be in the ladies office recovering my 400 dollars on way or another. If the company was here id sleep at the steps till i got my money back. And or the ceo of the company allowing this to go on and not returning funds is not right. Hes stealing money and something should be done this has been going on for years i wish i could go to the head office id take 400 out of the supervisors check on the account of she apperently isnt bothered by it nor seemed to care except that i was bothering her about the 400.
So since 400 dollars isnt nothing to her she wont miss it. Really this is crazy someone has to do something really what about people who are no where near there office and dont thy know that pre paid is pre paid for a reason and it not being that robbing 400 dollars is ok.
