I witnessed 3 incidents during the last couple of months where Geico found a way not to pay insurance claims. My wife who was fully insured with Geico was involved in an accident using a friend's car whose car was also insured by Geico.
When the friend called Geico they told him that there was lapse in his insurance because they sent mail to his previous address in MD and he never responded. They then denied my wife's claim because the friends car was parked in our driveway for several months (the friend moved to NC but has not settled yet with his family so he was staying with us).
Meanwhile one of my sons, who sold his motorcycle which was insured with Geico and bought a car to replace it after calling Geico to switch insurance, the car hit another vehicle in the parking lot (my son's responsibility) but when he called Geico they denied that the car was insured with them. So he ended up fixing the other car from his own pocket and switched to another insurance company.
