My car was advertised for only $10,000 and they (Westlake Financial) said they wouldn't finance it unless I bought the car for $13,000. I was pressured into using this company through the dealership where I bought my car. I put $3k down cash and have been making payments. A week after having the car, I took it to my mechanic to check out the thumping sound I would hear in the back of my car and the gargling sound coming from the engine. I come to find out my strut mounts were bad and had to be replaced along with a slew of other problems. I had to spend $2k in repairs and 3 months later, the car stopped running. I took it back to my mechanic and had to pay $300 to get the starter replaced.
Westlake Financial does not send my statements to me and I have to call them every month and ask them to send. They charge you a fee to make your car payment on top of what you already owe. Their documentation is inaccurate and they call you multiple times throughout the day and call you names. Today Eli at Westlake Financial called me a "liar" and said that I don't know what I'm talking about and I don't make sense. He had Tony at call me and curse at me, threaten me and called me a derogatory word saying, "Westlake said you didn't pay. So you need to get your stuff out and give me the keys or I'm going to come get it from you while you're driving. We have a GPS on your car and we know where you’re at!" I told him, "I made my payment the day before one day after it was due at the bank and I have my receipt as proof." I even went back to the bank and had them fax over a copy of all my payments.
Tony and Eli both insisted that I was untruthful even though I have my receipt of payment from the bank and the check that Westlake Financial cashed has already come out of my account. These people call my 92-year-old grandmother everyday and my friend that has ovarian cancer over being a week behind. They all speak with accents indicating English as a second language. These people are not legit. I called the police and they told me that these people are bad business people and rip people off because good financial institutions do not threaten nor harass their customers like they do! Word to the wise, do not ever do business with Westlake Financial. They're the new version of the mob and are rude and unprofessional, still in the process of them getting their records straight with my payments. I'm actively pursuing other options besides doing business with them. There are too many problems.
