Complaint / review text:
I lost my house 3 years ago to midland because they refused to work with me on my loan. I was unemployeed and let them know the day it happened.
3 months later I got a job but it was making much less then before. They refused to work on a modification. They did however try. They wanted me to make a payment that was 75% of my income, that left nothing for utilities and food.
They sent a default letter once and that was the last I heard from thier attorney. I never seen it in the paper as a forclosure notice. They told me I had 3 days to move or the sherrif would remove me. So I walked away. They ended up selling the loan for almost half of what I owed.
Now why would someone do that when they could have kept the orginal amount and worked with me. Dumb.inconsiderate, unlawful. I still to this day do not think that it was done correctly.
I think it was not legal how they forclosed on my house. Now I am just wondering if I will get some of the moeny back that others will get in the settlement?
