Consumers beware! We too looked at Quicken Loans, not to refi but to purchase a new home. After the initial contact, which was not so bad, they had my wife uploading documents to the MYQL website for about four hours. "We need this, " "Oh, we need that, " "Now, we need the other." Then hell started. We went to the underwriter. These people do not believe a word you tell them. It's always "Prove it or you don't get your loan." We have two rentals that were being absorbed with the sale. Mind you, they have no value to the sale nor do we owe any loans or liens.
Even after explaining this to four different people, we still had to come up with a way to prove it! Okay, done. "Now, we need you to remove a dispute on your credit report." "I don't care if you didn't put the dispute on there, prove it!" "So you paid off the only bad charge item on your credit report. We don't care about the other 500 good. Prove it!" "Oops, you didn't sign that." "Oops, that's not a bank statement. It's a transaction history and not signed in blood from your banking institution. Prove it because you're a liar. You all lie, lie, lie." "And oh, by the way, you didn't pay full amount for that charge item." But they settled for less. Prove it!
I gave you the letter saying they took less. Yeah, but you could've typed that prove it! Okay, now that you jumped through all that, prove that the monies came from your account not with a transaction history, a statement unless it's signed in blood by your bank! Prove it! I can get through all that. The part that makes me the most upset is that the only way you know what's going on is to log on to your MYQL site and read what is needed. Nobody ever calls when there's a problem. Quicken Loans, your commercials advertise that you are engineered to amaze. Prove it! Anyone else have these problems? If so, do what we're going to do and tell everyone you know that they engineered to amaze. Amaze at how hard the process is and run!
