I received a phone call regarding request for health insurance and spoke with Jason at 866-341-7070 ext 108. Jason explained he could assist me with finding a health insurance policy and took some information about my health insurance current policy and medications and health history. He came back and informed he had a policy that was a group policy PPO with Unified Life and was a A rated carrier. I was automatically approved and had no waiting period for pre existing conditions. The plan was part of Mult Plan, with 900,000 members. The policy had no charge for doctors visits, full diagnositic testing, blood and lab testing coverage, prescription drug coverage for name brand prescriptions, at $10, $20, $30 depending on some level, generic at $5, $10 and $15 depending on some level, for 30 days of medication. The policy had medical, surgical and hospital with $100 co pay per hospital stay. The policy had full dental, vision and hearing. The policy had an accidental death or dismemberment clause of $10,000, mental health and psychiatric coverage including psychiatric hospital stays. Jason continued with stating the policy had no pre existing condition as the only treated medication was for diagnosis of condition dating back to April 2008. The policy was a PPO, With charge of $438.95 and locked in for life of policy. The group of providers was with Multi Plan.com there would be a one time $129.00 enrollment fee, the medical policy would be $99 and the other dental, vision and hearing would be $30. I was then transferred to another person, who read a rout list of questions I was to answer yes to. The questions sometimes did not make sense as to the information Jason had reported. This is not a major medical policy? And a lot of other information which I questioned at times and the recorded message person stopped the recording to inform me we would have to start again. I was online at this time and looked up Muilt Plan.com and tried to find my doctors. I had problems and when back to Jason at one point to have him assist me with the website. I was returned to the rout speaker and completed the questions. Later that day I received an email to my surprise stating the prescription, vision and dental (This is not insurance.) I then tried to contact the company and could not get through to a person. Jason was not available at 866-341-7070 ext 108. The other number Jason gave me for cancellation was 561-800-0700 option 4 and option 4 was full and could not accept any other messages. I reported the above to the better business bureau, Wisconsin Insurance Commissioner. Then I received email about membership, Plan Type: NCE Unified Health One 1000 - $99 - Individual. I cancelled the membership and the credit card which paid for the policy. This kind of deceptive practices makes purchasing health insurance and impossible process.
