Freedom Mortgage failures when my loan was sold and before

My first problem with Freedom Mortgage came as a result of their loan processing company, Loan Care Servicing Center, in May of 2007, incorrectly submitting an old bank tape to my bank, twice. This resulted in my bank account being hit with my real mortgage payment plus 2 additional payments. They tried to reverse the transactions the next day but each resulted in an insufficient funds charge. They offfered to reimburse but as of today, never have.

They sold my mortgage in November of 2007 and then told the new mortgage company that I owed them for a check I bounced. After months of research, it proved to be one of the checks above. My new mortgage company continues to show me one month behind until this is cleared up. It is now August of 2008 and I still have not been able to clear this up even though I have provided documentation to the new mortgage company proving my case. Freedom now claims to have written me a check to pay to the new mortgage company to square my account, which I have never received. If they had sent the check to the new mortgage company, this would be cleared up.

I am reluctant to use the word "fraud", but I am dangerously close if this is not resolved soon. I have spent approximately 36 hours trying to get this resolved. I currently show one month behind on payments to my new mortgage company and have accumulated late fees while this is being investigated by my new mortgage company.

I will never do business with Freedom Mortgage again.
