My vehicle is currently financed by Absa and has been financed with them for close to two years.insurance documents were supplied to Absa by the my insurance company when I collected the vehicle from the dealer. Three months ago after nearly two years Absa informed me via sms that they dont have documents from the insurance company and will be adding their own insurance. I contacted Absa got the neccesary details and got my insurance company to forward Absa with the insurance documents. Yesterday being the 2015/03/03 I received an sms stating the insurance documents have not been recieved and action will be taken and insurance forcefully added. I find this kind of under handed tactics from a professional institution such as Absa unacceptable. This is a tactic that is used to generate buisness for themselves. How many times must insurance documents be submitted. This is very unprofessional. This is that same thing that did with my husbands vehicle when it was financed by them. This is clearly a strategy by absa and is really disgraceful. What if my finances dont allow for any extra debits and Absa forcefully adds insurance then I default on my payment, one month the two.
