We settled our bond account. To make sure, I phoned Standard Bank, spoke to Monique on 12 March 2015 who confirms the account is settled and the debit order will not go off at the end of March 2015. I specifically get clarity on this and mention that I don't want the scenario where the amount goes off. Lo and behold, the debit order goes off. Phone Standard Bank Home Loans on 30 March 2016 and Keneilwe cannot explain why it went off except to apologize. I demand to speak to a senior and they are all in a meeting! Leave my number, and ask that they phone me, I am still waiting. I am asked to lodge a compliant with Client Services and I am advised that it will take 5 days to sort out. I do so and and I am advised that we must allow Standard Bank till 16 April 2015 to investigate / resolve. Standard Bank's service is really living up to its name, ie Standard. My wife is now sitting with a cash deficit and her debit orders could not go off. Please explain what the home loans consultant done on 12 March 2015 and whether the Home Loans Department will do something to prevent the debit order from going off again, because I don't trust your promises.
