I have tried numerous times to get help from countrywide customer service and their hope department to no avail. All I get is the runaround. I have always been on time with my mortgage payments, then had a decrease in work hours and saw a decrease in my cash flow. I tried to be proactive by calling Countrywide to try to set up a loan modification because I could foresee me possibly missing payments or falling behind on my mortgage loan.
I called at least 8 times to get something worked out, did everything they told me to do such as writing a hardship letter and sending copies of my pay stubs, and got nowhere with anyone there. They told me someone from the hope department would contact me—no one contacted me.
I call and call and I am getting very frustrated because it seems that Countrywide just doesn't want to work with me. It seems that countrywide would prefer to see people go into foreclosure than working something out to help people stay in their homes.
