I am very frustrated with ABSA CARD Division. My cheque card does not swipe, and I cannot do internet payment with this card, the only thing i can use it for is ATM transactions including withdrawals. I have no problem with ABSA branches and/or consultants, i always receive excellent service when i go into the branch, however, my cheque card is a nightmare, this is the second cheque card i have with Absa and it has the same problem
I used to go inside the branch to ressolve this problem, however i REFUSE to do it now because the HOLD was not supposed to be activated on my account in the first place, this card has humiliated me in POS Sales over and over and i am sure i am paying an arm and a leg for SASWITCH charges due to declined POS transactions
If my salary comes in this card, why do i have to suffer month in and month out, This matter extends to all my carhire transactions as well, its a mission to swipe the deposit then its a mission to get the deposit back after it has been released by the car rental company
I am told to replace the card and i will be contacted for collection, to date i am still waiting, and also i feel this is not an effective corrective action.
