Complaint / review text:
Absa has been calling me to open a new cheque account with them, i then decided to finally change my bank to them. When i opened the account i asked them for a overdraft facility which they applied for and then it was declined. They advised me that it was declined due to the fact that i am under debt review-i have cancelled the debt counselling in September 2013 already the termination letter was emailed to them in that same month too. I had to fight with the company that had me under debt counselling and then they emailed me the proof showing that they did send Absa Bank the termination letter. The service form Absa has been very poor (Is this how you treat your new client) I have made the biggest mistake to change over to you guys!!! I after i have changed all my details at work. Very unhappy!!!
Looking forward to close this new account asap.
