First National Bank
Prescription Debt

Complaint / review text:
I had a Discovery credit card with FNB, we got into financial difficulty when my husband and I lost our job and I was unable to pay. Over the years I monitored my debt on Experian Credit Burea and in 2009, I saw that my credit card was "paid up". I hadn't heard from anyone in this regard until September 2013 when I deposited my salary into a newly opened FNB account, they deducted R1800 without my permission.

I contacted FNB, they said they didn't deduct the money it was a legal firm. When I contacted the attorney's they said they hadn't deducted the money. I sent a copy of my credit report to the lawyers Groenewald Lubbe Inc, to which they responded that I'm still liabiable for the debt, as the written off means that it was made 0 at the client to be able to hand it over to the attorneys. I then responded that the prescription had run the course and I would like my money to be refunded. It has now been eight and a half months and Im still trying to get my R1800-00 with interest back.
