Why both paying for Household Insurance

On Wednesday, 05 June 2014 @ just after 10 pm, my neighbour drove his E-Class Mercedes Benz through my boundary wall - creating a 3m whole. I immediately contacted Nedbank Insurance - got a case number - and 7 days later - the appointed Contractor has still not repaired the damaged wall. He commited to be on site on Tuesday, 10 June and promised to complete the repairs on Wednesday, 11 June. He only pictched on Wednesday, worked for 1 1/2 hours and then left - with the damaged wall still not repaired. After logging a complaint to Nedbank Complaints line, once of the Agents told to fix the wall myself! Why on earth do we pay for Household Insurance. My entire secirity on my property has been compromised during the period - and nobody appears to give a. Shocking service. That fact that we live in Johannesburg with one of the highest crime rates - one would think that this kind of Insurance Incident would be treated with some level of priority. I am appauled at the slow response to this critical security issue. Who cares...
