FNB Doesnt live by " how can we help you"

Complaint / review text:
We applied to FNB Home-loans for a further loan on our bond as we have equity in our property.
It took them more than 2 weeks to process our application and we never received feedback regarding the outcome.
I had to follow up with my private banker to find out that the loan was declined.
I further requested that my banker escalate the outcome as we wanted to cancel our personal loan that is costing a lot, and use the equity in our property for same. The response was that they do not approve loans for " consolidations". We owe FNB the money anyway... So I find this very strange. They would rather have their clients paying more for a personal loan than allow them to " consolidate" and save by using equity that they have in their property? Doesn't seem that FNB has any intention of helping their clients at all! Very short sighted in my opinion. My first complaint is the poor service received from FNB Home-loans. The second is that they are NOT willing to help their clients save. And thirdly they don't respond to complaints that have been emailed to them. Hugely disappointed!!
