Complaint / review text:
Over the past 3 months I have been consistently frustrated by STD Bank's poor service and attitude. This started on the 31st of March when my accounts were frozen (only to withdraw funds, not deposit) due to SB requiring FICA documents. This is despite my information not having changed for 10 years and all accounts being usable. All of a sudden they decide they no longer have any of these documents and I need to supply them all again. This took 4 separate visits to a branch with an average wait time of 35 minutes each to resolve. Finally resolved today.
Then I get a call from the card division this evening. They phone me and the woman starts by asking me security questions. I refuse to answer her questions until I know what the nature of the call is about. I remind her that she has phoned me, not me phoning her. She refuses to disclose the nature of the call until I have gone through security checks. I told her that unless she told me the nature of the call, I was ending the call. She refused to tell me the nature of the call. I refused to go through security. Call end!!!
How dare Standard Bank phone me at 8pm on a Friday night and then harass me!!!
