We have been a client of Standard Bank for some years now.
I called Standard Bank 2 years ago (i think) - requesting them to post me my monthly bank statement. This obviously fell on deaf ears as to this date I have still not received a monthly statement.
When I requested bank statements from April 2011 to December 2013 (please check REF# for actual dates: REF#: 58290847 or REF#: 58296533), I was shocked and insulted by Standard Bank's response which was that i will have to pay - R10,000 to acquire these statements. Besides the fact that Standard Bank is totally in the wrong here for not issuing my statements to the designated Postal Address on my request, these fees are horrendous, impractical and I'm still not sure whether this is joke or Standard Bank is being serous!
I lodged this complaint with Standard bank about 2 months ago and still nothing has been done! Total rip off and insult! Please resolve! Totally unacceptable!
