Complaint / review text:
I want to report that on the 17 of April 2014, Mrs. Abreu Melicia (an employee of Standard Bank at its Rose bank branch (where I do not even hold any personal bank account) did the following:
1. Gained unauthorized, illegal access to my personal savings bank account. This took place on Thursday, the 17th April, 2014.
2. Thereafter, she phoned me and deliberately misled and deceived me regarding the true intention of accessing my bank account without permission and what she wanted to do to my bank account (this obviously being grossly unethical and disgusting). This also took place on Thursday, the 17th April, 2014.
3. Took money out of my bank account without my permission. This took place on either Thursday, the 17th or the 18th of April, 2014.
Up to today Standard Bank has stood by her and supported this gross misconduct. This support remains Even after informing Standard bank that under no circumstance can a Bank or any of its employees access a Consumer's account and take money out of it. Even where activities are suspected, the Bank must first report the matter to authorities, before taking any action. As it is Standard Bank has taken the law into its own hand.
