I called miway 3 times today to cancel my policy effective 01/08/2014 due to cheaper premiums elsewhere. I told them i do not want to be retained as they cannot match the better premium i got from another insurer. I am giving them ample notice to cancel. This is a month to month cover. Miway collected my premium for july and i want cover till end of july. Begining of august im starting with the other insurer. I am now told i will be billed till 10/08/2014 what the heck for as this is a month to month cover. I want a confirmation letter that my policy will be cancelled effective 01/08/2014 end of story. Should miway debit anything from my account on the 25/07/2014 for august im going straight to the ombudsman. It is my right as a consumer to chose whomever i want whenever i want as these are my personal belongings. I will not be ripped off by miway. Noks dlamini when i say cancel my policy effective this day do not try to upsell personal accident cover. Noks try listening to the clients request 1st time round and you'll save all of us time. If i do not get a response by monday morning ill be liasing with the ombuds. Your premiums are sky high for no reason. Im waiting.
