Geico refused to reimburse for under 25 driver fee on rental

I am 24. I was struck by a Geico customer.

They admitted fault. Geico reimbursed for the accident and for part of the car rental but refused to pay for the mandatory under 25 fee. I am 24. A Geico agent advised me that I should have had someone over 25 rent the car for me (which I believe is an illegal act).

I have filed a complaint with the NJ Insurance Commission. I have spoken with Geico representatives on 4 occasions. During the first 3 conversations they said they would reimburse me the under 25 fee. The latest they said this fee was denied.

Well, I can't make myself 25 just by wishing it. Is this age discrimination? They said it was their policy not to pay this fee. I need a car since I am a full time college graduate student and am also working full time.

We'll see what happens. Perhaps the NJ Insurance Commission will help.
