Complaint / review text:
I have my homeloan through Standard Bank, and we decided to extend our home, after getting the neccessary plans approved by the Municpality and quotes from builders I applied for a building loan as an extension to my current bond. I did the application online and was then phoned by a consultant to complete the procedure. The consultant told me I was approved in principle but the relevant verifications had to be completed, and that it would be approxiamtely 10 working days. I submitted all the relevant supporting documents the following morning. After a week I followed up and was told that my application had been esculated. To cut a long story short after today (8.08.14) I have still not been given an outcome for my application by Standard Bank after countless phone calls to the Home Loans line, I have complained on Twitter, I lodged a formal complaint to the complaint line which no-one has come back to me yet either (ref 7002077611. Today was the 28th working day since I submitted my application. Originally my application ref no was 4805557 and then a new one was given to me 4833210. I would like an explanation as to why the application has taken so long and some kind of apology
