Complaint / review text:
On 24/07/2013, much to my delight, I received a call from Issie van Zyl at ABSA vehicle finance in Jhb stating that my vehicle, a black citigolf chico had already been fully paid 3 months ago via my debt councillor and she needed my banking details to re-imburse me the additional payments which I kindly got back from ABSA.
I received a fully paid up letter which ABSA couriered to my ABSA Branch in Fish Hoek under ref. CZ14012139 under ABSA account 72138070 and the same vehicle was then sold 3 months later by myself as the legal owner - done - vehicle is no longer my responsibility.
Tried to apply for finance now in June 2014 through ABSA to buy a new vehicle and got a phone call from ABSA that they cannot finance as my name is with TransUnion/ITC as there is another vehicle in my name in arrears with ABSA for the same vehicle that was fully paid with the same VIN NO. Aavzzz17z7u016932. The same vehicle with a different account number with ABSA under account no. 83780792 - seriously!
Got a call from Ambrose Pokpas at ABSA that the matter is being investigated on 23/06/2014 and to date have had to call him and have had no feedback - his no. Is 011-2217519
Absa - please assist
