Complaint / review text:
Yesterday we went to Ocean basket.
I am following the Tim Noakes Eating Plan.
I can therefore not eat margarine, but butter is allowed.
When I asked the waitress if the "lemon butter" sauce that they use over the prawns are made from butter or margarine, she answered margarine...
I then insisted to speak to the manager.
The manager came and told me that yes it was indeed margarine, and that this was an Instruction from Head Office.
I asked her if she could prepare mine with butter instead of margarine, on which she said NO, because they did not have butter in stock.
I lifted 3 blocks of butter out of the basket with bread (that they normally bring before you order food), and told her that they could use this, on which she replied that it is too expensive to use that butter, and that I should just eat the margarine.
I feel this is totally inacceptable!
Especially because Ocean Basket advertises that it is LEMON BUTTER, and not MARGARINE LEMON...
That is false advertising, and they are ripping off people.
But in your food what you advertise, or rather just call a spade a spade!!!
