I was out a truck for 4 months due to a bad transmission. I couldn't get to work so I had to ride a bike and I was trying to save money to get a transmission I had to sell my bike.
I saw the three year warranty that Monster Transmission had out out and was very interested due to having experience with bad transsmissions with terrible warranties. I paid $1241.60 for a 4L60E transmission and had t wait a month to get it. After having received it I realized they had sent me the wrong one. After reviewing all of their recorded phone conversations between them and I they came to the conclusion that it was their fault.
Even after this had been decided they still required that I paid half the shipping cost. I live in California and this is a Florida based company. Shipping one way is 450 for a transmission. I brought up the fact that they had a satisfaction guarantee stating that if you weren't satisfied within the first 30 days they would refund the entire purchase and take the transmission back.
When I brought this up they said they had to charge a 10 dollar restocking fee. I was being forced to pay for a mistake they had made. Their motto is, "we don't just build transmissions, we build relationships." Well I for one do not wish to maintain a relationship with such a terrible company who doesn't not want the best for their customers. I strongly advise against any type of purchase from this company.
They do not have your best interest in mind.
