Complaint / review text:
A friend of mine recently rented from Eagle Rider to do a trip from the east coast to LA. He had to get three replacement bikes to complete the trip due to mechanical problems or tires that were too worn to complete that many miles.
Mechanical problems began with rear brakes that would lock up and or a drive train that was locking up causing him to have a crash. They did replace that bike promptly but they gave him one with tires too worn to complete the trip (he looked a the tires when accepting the replacement bike but did not realize how worn they were) and the guy who delivered the bike was very nice but not all those he encountered with eagle Rider were so nice. This bike had an ABS system which failed and the battery began to fail. He lost many hours trying to get help from Eagle rider.
Then the tires got too thin and so a replacement bike even had worn tires and then Eagle Rider dealership in Flagstaff AZ made fun of him for not being willing to ride on those tires. I saw photos he sent me of the tires. No way would I ride on such tires and if he had been caught in rain, he would have had to just pull over a wait for dry pavement. He finally barely made his flight home and many of the highlights of his trip just had to be skipped due to many lost hours and days trying to deal with Eagle Rider.
Stay away from these people for rental bikes. I am sending my friend the link to this site so he will he can get in here and tell the whole terrible ordeal.
