Complaint / review text:
Had a last minute package that needed to arrive the next day. Scheduled a pick-up for FedEx standard overnight (to arrive by 8PM the next day). Tried tracking package all day to no avail - no updates, no delivery. Called FedEx today, furious that the item still hadn't arrived for what would qualify as two-day shipping. Was fed generic excuses and apologies and told my package would arrive before 8PM TODAY.
Well, I needed the package for a business event happening at noon today, so it won't help at all unless it arrived before then. Tried changing delivery address hoping that package could go straight to event and was told there would be a fee for changing address (a fee for YOUR MISTAKE?!) and then was told that with change of addresses, the package wouldn't arrive until the next business day. So either way, there is no way to get this package to the event on time. You would think FedEx would have made this a priority delivery given that it was their fault. They blamed it on road closures... Hmmm... Funny that everyone in that office complex could get to and from work with no issues, but you couldn't get package there by 8PM and still not there today!
Also, this isn't the first time that this has happened with FedEx. Had same issue a few weeks ago with nothing rectified. Oh and the best part? If I don't want to be refunded for the overnight shipping (since we didn't receive the package overnight), then I have to go through a lengthy claims process that will just take more time out of my day to deal with this unsympathetic goons.
