Complaint / review text:
The number 3 spark plug of our 2003 Ford Expedition blew out, causing what our Ford dealing claims is $ 4000 damage. The dealer as well as Ford' 1-800 number both indocated that this sounded unusual and they were not aware of how this problem could occur, or why it would happen. They were able to tell me, a loyal 5 time new Ford owner, that this was not covered by warranty or any recall. It certainly seems odd that Ford itself is unaware of this problem, when after a few clicks of the mouse one is oble find dozens and dozens of similar reported incidents, which seem to be a known fact in the closed ranks of Ford. I feel this is a cover up by Ford, where the consumer is mis lead to believe they have purchased a quality vehicle from a reputable manufacturer, when Ford clearly knows that not to be the case, at least with respect to this particular Ford engine, hat being the 5.4 litre Triton. I guess its off to the Chevy dealership

This flaw caused my wife to stall in heavy traffic, which could have lead to serious consequences, fortunately she was not injured and safely moved the vehicle off the road. We are now without our family vehicl necessary to transport our family of 5 and dog to and form school, and other family requirements. We have had to have the vehicle towed twice and rent a car, at our expense, and are now facing a $ 4000 repat bill, 3 weeks before Christmas
