Complaint / review text:
I read the other view, Honda of New Rochelle tried to charge me too. I got the etching done for free by the Police Department. At that time the police department advised the plates technically still belong to Honda of New Rochelle. The temporary registration was about to expire and Honda of New Rochelle gave me a new one blaming my insurance company. The new one has the same expiration date as the first one.
I now have the car for 2 months, and have visited Honda of New Rochelle in person 4 times; they do not return phone calls.
I should have kept the old car; at least I was not getting tickets for an unregistered vehicle. I've heard every excuse under the sun from Honda of New Rochelle sales staff and management, blaming my insurance company for my expired registration sticker provide by Honda. Honda does not verify the paperwork at the time of registration, and failed to notify me of any issues. I should have saved the $300 the dealership charged to register my vehicle and walked into Motor Vehicle myself. I now have $195 worth of parking tickets and they are still piling up, for the invalid registration the dealer provided me. Honda's negligence to validate the paperwork is now costing me money. I've been offered free oil changes for my inconvenience. I don't need an oil change; I need a valid registration sticker to stop the violations against my car.
