FedEx said, they attempted to deliver my package. I have been waiting here all day on 12/27. There was absolutely no attempt made, as the whole family was home, waiting for this belated Christmas present to arrive. When I called, they said I would have to wait until the following day, until 7PM to attempt again. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and was given a person who was not a supervisor. When I finally reached a supervisor (Mike), he said there was nothing they could do. Although tomorrow, they could deliver until 7PM, they were not willing to come back at 5PM and deliver to me today, and his reason was because the driver was already back.
This is the second issue I have had with FedEx. The last issue, I had to call because the driver actually did not knock on my door to deliver a package, but walked in. When I called that time, and explained how horrible it was to have a man just walk in my house, and nothing was done but an insincere apology. It seems there are no repercussions for poor inappropriate services.
The consequences are frustration, and the fact that my husband now has to drive 13.4 miles at $3.50 a gallon, to pick up the package, as we cannot lose pay, just by sitting at home, waiting for them to make another fake delivery tomorrow. The cost of the delivery was included in the delivery, and we are out that as well, since we have to pick it up ourselves.
