Complaint / review text:
Dunn Tire installed new drums on my car that were already out of round, the pressure from the drum placed on the shoe's caused the retainer clip which holds the shoe's secure at the bottom to pop off. This clip is rivited on, every mechanic that has looked at the car stated they have never seen this clip come off before.
Dunn tire could not re-attach this clip, so I had to have it towed to Pep Boys from Dunn tire. I Paid Dunn tire $540 dollars to do my rear brakes. Within a couple days I was paying Pep Boys $265 dollars to re-attach clip, plus they had to put new cylinder and shoe's due to them being damaged when clip broke. Dunn tire refuses to reimburse me the $265 saying there is no proof that the bad parts they put on the car caused the clip to break.
The Service manager at Dunn told me when I brought the car back originally that they have been having a problem with less than perfect parts from their manufacturer.
I would love to know how many bad parts they have put onto customers cars then deny that those parts are causing more damage. I will never go to Dunn for anything again, eve
