Complaint / review text:
I saw a vehicle (2003 Honda Accord) for sale on Craigslist and contacted the seller. She informed me that the sale was to be handled by eBay because they had a buyer protection plan. EBay was to hold my payment till I received the vehicle and had a chance to check it out. Then eBay would release the payment. I then got an e-mail from eBay (I found out today that it was not eBay who sent the confirmation e-mail) as to how to proceed with the payment. Payment was to be made through Western Union. I made the payment and found out today that the payment was picked up on 10-5-11.
Today is 10-12-11 and I still have not received the vehicle. I called eBay and they informed me that this was a scam and they could do nothing about it. They also told me to file a claim with IC3. Gov and my local police dept. My local police dept.informed me that they too could do nothing for me because it was an internet crime. So I am trying to let everyone know that this scam is going on and also advise them that this offender is using the US Air Force as a cover to gain the trust. The vehicle that I was trying to purchase was to be shipped from Madrid, Spain where the seller is stationed, by an Air Force cargo airplane. The e-mail of the seller is. This is her info:. Any assistance you can afford me in this matter is greatly appreciated.
