I was stopped outside the Home Depot today by an 'Italian' guy with a heavy Italian accent who told me he is traveling to Italy, was at the Clothes show at the Galleria, had some nice Armani leather Jackets worth $1000 and up each, and he wants to get rid of them cause he does not want to take them with him to Italy because he will pay lots of Taxes on them. Showed me his passport 'fake cause the photo was a paper and not a scanned one', a ticket to the airport, a car rental documents, all seemed believable. He offered me 6 'leather' jackets and 3 other cloth jackets for $500. I really didn't need them but they were nice, so I paid him $260 for the 9 jackets.
Even if they were fake 'I know they are!', they are made of Vinyl and not leather, but they are nice. So I am not pissed off, I am just disappointed of myself because I allowed myself to be fooled.
This happened on 04-16-2011 at 7:30pm outside the Home Depot on Hwy 6 in Houston, Texas.
If you see this guy again, please send him to me as I need more jackets from him!
