I got Centurylink internet in 6/2013. I canceled the account within one month and paid my bill.
I was told I could not return their modem to a local store and that I would receive mailing instructions and postage for the modem. I did not received anything from Centurylink. When I applied for a job in 9/2014 I was informed that Centurylink had sent me to collections for the modem in April of 2014.. I contacted Centurylink's customer service and was told they would send me a copy of my bill for the modem.
I still have yet to receive any bill, explanation of my "debt", or anything from Centurylink. I have NEVER received anything from the collections agency that is reporting me to the credit bureaus.
I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for the colletions agency and Centurylink.
