Complaint / review text:
Purchased a Laptop Online (My daughters x-mas present) and when I received it, it was defective. Called Dell and the Tech line help was incompetent.
They had me turn the computer off and on, no joke, 12 times for a speaker that had static. After 1 1/2 hours, they finally decided to exchange it. Tech passed me over to Customer Service. Customer service had no idea what was going on and after another 1/2 hour, I gave up.
I called back the next day to Customer Service and they informed me that I didn't own the computer. Even though I had all the paperwork in front of me. After another 1 1/2 hours, they found their mistake and Ok'd the exchange. Then they informed me that it would take 4 weeks to receive.
4 WEEKS!!! This was a x-mas gift. WTF!!! I waited another 30 minutes to talk to a supervisor, whom I expressed to unappretiation for the waste of my time, and she told me that she was happy to do it.
Never again will I own a Dell Product.
THis is sad because I have been buying Dell sense their beginning. My how they have fallen.
