Complaint / review text:
Went to East Meadow store on April 6th and ordered 4 cabinets for $4,211.41. Came back on April 10 to change order and due to changes made, we cut $900 off price and it came to $3,334.45. Order was processed. Then I got a letter on May 22nd stating my cabinets where ready and the amount was $3,775.20 or about $440 higher than agreed price. Told salesman to put delivery on hold until you fix mistake. Two weeks later I had to call salesman to find out what's going on and apparently NOTHING was going on and he said he was still waiting for manager to fix problem. On July 2nd we finally agreed to a $100 rebate and I agreed out of frustration.
July 6th cabinets arrived but had a broken header panel and one cabinet was the wrong color.
Another round of back and forth and a replacement came Aug 25th. THE WRONG COLOR AGAIN!
Now manager at East Meadow location had to call Starmark Corp. And send reps to my home. That took 4 weeks and they took my wrong color cabinet and said two weeks I should get a call from Holbrook Consumers head office for delivery. That was 5 weeks ago so I just call the Holbrook office for information and talk to a manager (November 11th) and got a manager who said they would call me right back and that was two hours ago!
Don't make the same mistake I did.
Avoid this place at all costs!
They are expensive and the worse costumer service ever.
I've been nice and patient with undertrained staff and still not one person has said sorry or we'll take a few hundred off price because of all the screw UPS.
Now, I'll give them two more weeks until I go to BBB and ask for refund.
Big waste of time.
I waiting those two weeks and heard nothing. So I called the Holbrook office and got in touch with the customer service rep Joe.
(This is the 1st time I got hold of a CS rep and didn't even know one existed at Consumers.
Joe told me he'd check if cabinets are there and confirmed they where.
So I told him to put em together and I would be there in hour.
I arrived at Consumers and picked up cabinet and header panel Nov 25th, 8 months and 2/weeks after this all started.
Joe said he would check into what happened and talk to management to see if they could do anything.
I keeped my cool and left.
I doubt 1000% they would DO anything as in give me a discount because the place is so disorganized there us no way to get any answers from anybody without pulling teeth. I'll never use them again, never suggest their services and never on them if they where in fire.
