Complaint / review text:
Hardly used, yet the new bath I bought from Bathroom Bizarre developed a crack a short few months after installation. Candice and Branch manager Raymond both very helpful in trying to resolve the matter - I thought I would be ok when they told me there was a 10year warranty on the product.
Only to discover that their supplier was not interested in visiting to ascertain the cause of the problem Now they send installation instructions and say this is how it should be done - after the event. My builders plumber has fitted baths in his way since 1982 - without any problem.
Why don't they supply installation instruction sheet with every bath? Do they give training to the trade?
When we pulled the bath out and hold it up to the sunlight there is clearly a paucity of glass fibre reinforcing in the area where the crack developed.
My suggestion is if you have to buy an acrylic bath check it out from the inside against a strong light - preferably sunlight.
I can see why Bathroom Bizarre don't respond to these complaints - head office ties their branch managers hands and is not interested in fighting for your case with their suppliers.
Company should be called BATHROOM BEWARE
