My 2009 Samsung french door refrigerator had water accumlating on the bottom of the refrig portion. Called Samsung, told them the problem two days later they called to tell me it was out of warrenty.
I had an extended warrenty called Lowes and they sent out a repairman. Long story short he replaced a small drain in the back of refrigerator. Samsung knew this part was defective and had sent a notice to the repair people along with a new longer part.
If I did not have an extended warrenty I would have had to pay for it. Samsung should have notified their customers and replaced this defective part.
Since June my refrigerator broke down two more times. Once in October and again in November.
The main computer board was replaced twice and there is still a problem. It was broken during Thanksgiving and I was the hostess for 17 guests. It created a very nerve wracking and difficult holiday. We used an extra refrigerator located in the garage.
Aside from the food we lost the difficulty in dealing preparing a large meal without a refrigerator in the kitchen was overwhelming. I finally got in touch with Lowes (where we had purchased this Samsung Lemon) and they are going to refund the purchase price.
They have been very understanding and are standing by their products.
It is nice to deal with a large company that still cares about their customers.
