Complaint / review text:
It's seems since Monitronics raised our prices, the systems started malfunctioning, this would almost seem laughable. So the system loses communication (always at midnight) and continue to beep every minute (5 beeps) so I went downstairs and made sure everything was dis-armed, and went to bed.
At 3: AM I receive a phone call from Monitronics telling me that my system has a communication problem and that I should call tech... Oh tech doesn't answer the phone for another three hours. (5: AM California),
So the system wakes me up at midnight and the alarm monitor wakes me up again at 3: AM, I guess they don't want me to get a goodnight sleep. So I call Friday at 7:50 PM and the tech have me go though some steps to have my system communication error go away. This stops the system from beeping, and I hang-up, and I hear the panel upstairs beeping so I call back... And get sorry our tech desk is closed please call back during hours of operations... So now my system is beeping every minute (oh listen to their help desk hold line "your system will still beep 24 hours after a power failure").
This company is a joke, once they hook you for a three year contract they have you and don't care about you. So I call this morning after my system beeps all weekend long and want to cancel my service, and I'm told I have to pay 350 dollars to cancel.
Really??? And it cost 50 dollars for a tech to come out to fix them system. So I'm going to take the contract to my legal assistance program and see if they can tell me if Monitronics is violating their part of the contract…. Hey any Monitronics customers, let's see if we can nationwide get a class action suit against them.
